Some of you have already heard about this from me through other venues... but there are HUGE wildfires in southern California, including Malibu. The damage so far includes Malibu Presbyterian and 23 structures that have been damaged/burned in the Malibu area. Thank God Pepperdine has not yet had any buildings burn down, but the fires is not contained by any means. I have talked to a few of my friends at school and everyone is fine there.
I just want to ask all of you to continue to lift up Malibu in your prayers.

When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen:
either you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.
